Surf Lessons in Bude, Widemouth Bay.

We had an awesome morning learning how to surf with Jess. My two children (14 and 10) clicked with her straight away. Once we were wetsuited, she took us down to the beach and taught us everything we needed to know about how to catch a wave. We then went out and practiced that. Next we were taught how to stand up and spent the rest of the lesson in the water.

Jess was great at breaking down the skills into steps and then gave us all individual tips and feedback on how to improve.. it was worth paying the extra for the private session. Thank you so much Jess.

Brilliant experience for first timers and the more experienced alike. Professional and friendly staff from the outset. Decent wetsuits and boards. Clear safety briefing and attentive supervision in the water too. Highly recommended 👌

Just got back from a 4 night break at OA. 3 generations of family in our group with ages from 13 to nearly 80. We had a surf lesson (all 3 generations) and we swam, snorkelled and walked. The location of the surf club is amazing, with spectacular views. We ate at the centre every night, enjoying superbly cooked and very reasonably priced food. Breakfast was fabulous too. The centre has such a relaxed vibe. I was most impressed with the attitude and kindness of the staff, particularly towards my parents. We will definitely be back.

A very fun couple of mornings with Jess surfing and then with George and Jess coasteering. Scenery was breathtaking; challenges aplenty; loads of laughs and chat. Legs are sore but the that will soon mend. The great memories will last. Thank you so much Jess and George!

Booked a beginners surf lesson for my two girls, 22 and 14. A number of organisations possible at Widemouth beach but I chose OA, and really pleased I did as the girls had a great time. Jess and Ollie were super and had them standing by the end of the lesson, with lots of advice and guidance. Went back to the same beach day after and observed that the OA staff seemed dynamic and really involved in their groups lessons. Would highly recommend OA!

I’d never surfed before so thought I’d give it a try whilst in Cornwall. These guys popped up top of my google search. Phoned through explaining that I not the youngest at 53 to be trying surfing for the first time, not a problem I was told.

I can’t thank Simon enough for his time and patience with an aging and total beginner.

I’ve some way to go but hope to be back again before the season is over!
