About Us

Over Three Decades of Expertise

OA Surf Club is a surfing and coasteering school offering accommodation for surfers and non surfers at Atlantic Court, building on the great reputation of Outdoor Adventure, we aim to do things slightly differently.

Our team of coaches are watermen through and through, they love living in Cornwall, and are all keen surfers and coasteerers who are fully trained instructors and beach lifeguards. This means that you can relax and enjoy being in the ocean as you know you are in safe hands.

Rob has grown up with saltwater in his veins, he has been involved in the watersports industry from an early age and has been coaching Surfing, Windsurfing, Coasteering and other activities for the past 25 years. He has managed a local surf school for the past 20 years and brings a wealth of operational and safety knowledge to the OA Surf Club.

Tia has always participated in multiple sports growing up; however, it wasn’t until she caught her first wave that she truly became hooked on surfing and spends as much time in the sea pushing herself as well as coaching others. Tia’s been coaching for almost 3 years now, and is highly motivated about encouraging more women to learn to surf, and create a highly popular, and friendly female band of surfers.

Freddie has been coaching surfing for 5 years, and moved from Newquay to Bude.  Converted by the types of waves that we have around Widemouth Bay, he’s not moving on! The keenest surfer ever, he likes to explore all the different waves that we have here in the South West and has also surfed in New Zealand and Fuerteventura.

Lewis started surfing when he was about 12 years old and was instantly hooked.  A keen long boarder, he has had great success in competing in surfing competitions in National and European events.  Surfing has taken him all over the world, and as a new challenge he has recently started training for triathlon and ironman events.

“Enjoyed a great coasteering session! Really friendly. Very professional, made the session fun, informative, encouraging and challenging without pressure.
In and out of the water, through gaps, across bays, then the jumps! Heights to suit everyone, jump from as high or as low as you want. Loads of laughter, smiles and a great sense of achievement had by all.
I definitely recommend!”

Martyn Rowe

“Our son Gabe who’s 12 did the Coasteering at Bossiney. He absolutely loved it! The instructors took great care of him, it was very professional and well run and he had a great time. Would highly recommend.”
