OA Stay is an ideal setting for a short stay residential of just 1 or 2 nights, to accommodate the younger age range of years 3, 4 and 5 or extend your stay for Year 6. Short stay residentials are perfect for those younger years as it could be there first trip away from home.
Secondary School Groups
The school residential is a fantastic reward and incentive to help keep up the commitment and focus of your students. It's packed full of fun and opportunity where students can experience a wide range of new and exciting water-based activities.
Very often a week’s residential like this can also be a great catalyst to a healthier lifestyle when they get back home. Many students who perhaps did not find conventional sports was for them, go on to search out more outdoor and adventurous activities and start new hobbies. They become aware of a whole new world in the outdoors and develop new skills as well as an increase in self-confidence to tackle new challenges.
Tailored experiences
All food and accommodation is included for the duration of your stay whilst on a school residential, we are a small residential centre catering for up to 40 students.
We offer a range of activities, and you can bolt on as many (or as few!) as you like, these can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of your school group. Our experienced instructors can help your students develop new skills, build confidence, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

OA Stay is the perfect location to base yourselves for geography fieldwork and the surrounding area is a treasure trove for geology and ecology studies.
The surrounding coastline is saturated in stunning examples of coastal features and landforms demonstrating physical processes. The rocks belong to the Carboniferous geological period dating back over 350 million years and are heavily folded and faulted, creating towering rock structures. There are numerous examples of erosion, such as natural arches, sea stacks, caves, slumping and coastal management.
Our private beach has a large wavecut platform, and the rock pools are perfect for studying ecology and biodiversity. Coupled with the stream that flows onto the beach, there is a huge range of fauna and flora and is an ideal study of a coastal environment.
A short drive away is the village of Boscastle, which after a major flood in 2004 became internationally famous and the perfect environment to study human and physical causes contributing to floods with both long term and short term affects.
Break up the fieldwork with an activity session and immerse yourselves in the environment you are studying.
